Book Signing Surprise
For those of you who were not aware, we lost our little buff cocker, Max a month and a half ago. We have been toying with the idea of getting a new dog. Up in the Orlando area we found a breeder that has some really cute puppies and we decided to drive up there last Saturday for an open-house at the breeders place.
I’d been on contact with the breeder/owner and she learned that I wrote novels. She ordered a used one of Houseboat, (which I didn’t know you could do from Amazon) and when we were there on Saturday, I offered to sign the book for her. She informed me that the book was already signed. When I opened the book, I found it was a signed copy of Houseboat. I’d originally sold and signed the book for an elderly lady who lived in our complex in Florida and she had passed away about a year and a half ago. I was stunned, you just never know where a book might end up. Talk about a small world.
The fifth novel is close. I have a proof copy and it’s being reviewed right now for errors. The problem is it’s very hard to read it for the umpteenth time trying to catch formatting errors. It’s necessary to read each word and make sure the spelling is correct as well as the desired usage, even so I know there will be some errors that slip through. My goal is before April 15th to be done format proofing. Keep your fingers crossed.
Regards,
Paul
